Sears Cafe was first established by Alan Birrell after he visited San Francisco and had breakfast at the renowned Sears Fine Foods Restaurant. He thought Bunbury needs one of these and so Sears Restaurant was born and ran as a night time Steak bar in 1996, later it grew into lunches as well. Although the business proved very popular its physical size made it unrealistic to continue as a restaurant and this is when the new and current owner Grant Trivett took over in February 1997 aiming to specialise in breakfast. Sears Cafe now has a reputation of the best Breakfasts in Bunbury with a more traditional Australian style of Breakfast and an extensive range of freshly cooked Pancakes. Sears has become known as a great place to start the day.
With the growing trend towards the good old Hamburger Sears has developed a range of quality traditional and more modern styles of Hamburgers to complement is already popular lunch menu.
